It's CURRENTLY February!

Happy February, everyone!
Month of February Snowman Love
This month is going to be wonderful, chocked-full of family visits, holiday celebrations at school: Groundhog Day, 100th Day, Valentine's Day, President's Day, Black History Month...(The real question is: when am I going to actually teach anything?!?!) :)
But the most wonderful thing about February is...MIDWINTER BREAK! I cannot wait!!!

Anyways, here's what I'm CURRENTLY up to:
Listening:
While You Were Sleeping is one of my all-time favorite chick flicks!
I could watch it with the sound muted and quote every line :)
It's an oldie, but a goodie :)

Loving:

Thinking:
As a New Years goal, I wanted to read 25 books this year - I'm taking books above a 5th grade reading level :)
I'm finishing up my 6th book of the year and am looking for something new. Any suggestions?!?

I have a class of die-hard Seahawks fans and they are so pumped for the game today! They will be devastated if their beloved Seahawks lose.

Needing:
We are having a sweet new couple from church over for dinner tonight and with delicious smells wafting from the crock pot, all that's left to do is vacuum!

2 Truths and a Fib:
Did you guess it?

I was featured on a couple of telethon shows, raising money and awareness for arthritis. It's a common misconception that only adults get arthritis - I've had the disease since I was 3.

The fib is that although I was born in Canada and have lived around snow almost my entire life, I have never been skiing. I'm up for learning how to ski, but I'm afraid I will be embarassingly bad :)

Well, that's me in a nutshell!

  1. I love the movie While You Were Sleeping - such a good one! :) If you are looking for an interesting book series, I recommend Joanne Fluke's books. They all center around a baker named Hannah who investigates murders in her small town. All the characters are really interesting and I love the plot twists in each book. Bonus - Each book is full of recipes that Hannah and the other characters talk about in the chapters. They are a fun read!

  4. You had me at avid skiing.....and then it turns out to be a fib! What? You need to try it! My daughter started skiing at the age of THREE! Okay, here's a book recommendation- I just finished And the Mountains Echoed. It's about 300 pages, beautifully written, very haunting story. I also just finished The Circle- which is a story about an internet company taking over the world- kinda like Google! Love, love that movie and I caught part of Hope Floats the other day- it's also a good one!

    Thanks for sharing!
